Planning Commission (PC)

The PC is an advisory body to the Board of Trustees. Generally, the PC studies, reviews, and makes recommendations regarding various land-use and related planning topics, such as the Village’s Comprehensive Plan. The PC also considers preliminary and final subdivision plans, zoning changes, and annexation agreements. The statutory reference for this commission is 65 ILCS 5/11-12-4, as amended. Members of the PC are required to reside within the Village or within territory contiguous to the Village and not more than one and one-half miles beyond the corporate limits and not included within any other incorporated municipal corporation. Members serve 4-year terms.
