Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA)

The ZBA is quasi-judicial and advisory body of the Village. Generally, the ZBA hears and decides appeals to the Village’s zoning regulations or appeals to decisions made by administrative officials responsible for the enforcement of the Village’s zoning regulations. Additionally, the ZBA may recommend approval of zoning variations to the Board of Trustees. The statutory references for this board are 65 ILCS 5/11-13-3(c); 65 ILCS 5/11-13-3 (f); and 65 ILCS 5/11-13-5, as amended. Members serve 5-year terms.
